I'm currently TH6 (level 43) in Gold league II, and Im almost always finding TH7 or TH8 bases to attack, and it can take up to 5 mins to find someone equal level.

　　The bases I go against give me 20 trophies, if I'm lucky. Usually they give around 9-15.

　　When I get raided, however, it is almost never against a fellow TH6, almost always a TH7, and then I end up losing 20-35 trophies. Seems downright unfair.

　　Am I doing something wrong? Or is that just how it is?

　　Unfortunately at lower townhall levels if your base is decent that is just how it is going to be. It doesn't completely change as you progress in the game but it does start to get slightly better.

　　Trophies gained and lost are only determined by the trophy different between the attacker and defender. It is pretty common for a higher level TH to be lower in trophies, causing you to lose more than you would expect for being attacked by someone more progressed.

　　Also your trophies won't matter too much until you reach higher townhalls and start hunting for dark elixir. Even after hitting that point you generally only want to stay in whatever range you seem to find the best loot in. Pushing up too high will often halt your farming.The matchmaking system
